Parent Meeting // Held in May

Each year in May, we invite parents and students of incoming UthMpact Leadership Class members to attend a Parent Meeting one evening at the Polk County Sherriff's Office.

This meeting provides an overview of what to expect on monthly Leadership Days, at the Retreat, as well as for the Community Project and other programs/activities student leaders will participate in during the coming year.

We ask that UthMpact Leadership members complete a waiver, sign the UthMpact agreement, and pay a $30 retreat fee before the Parent Meeting. Forms will be mailed to new members in April.

Personality Workshop // Held in July

The Personality Workshop is the first mandatory event for new UthMpact Leadership Class members each year. Over the years, we have used DiSC and Strengths Finder personality tests to show individual strengths and help provide a clear strategy for building more effective relationships in the workplace and in life!

UthMpact Leaders receive a link to take the online personality profile test after the Parent Meeting in May. Then, the Workshop takes place during a half day in July from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, with an hour break for lunch.

Congrats to the UthMpact Leadership Class XI who completed Strengths Finder training in July 2021. The workshop helped the students gain valuable insight into themselves and how best to communicate and take a leadership role!

It is a fun opportunity for students to complete team tasks, receive training, play games, bond with classmates and learn valuable leadership skills.
