We had a great week at Anna Maria Island learning and preparing for the upcoming UthMpact Leadership year! We planned out our fall retreat for Class VIII, learned how to run a meeting and played hard!! Get ready for a great year Class VIII, we can't wait for you!
Social Norm Presentation

Olivia and Kasandra did an outstanding job presenting Polk County Social norms to over 1,000 5th grade students from elementary schools all over Polk County. We LOVE getting to share the positive norms with kids in our county!
Class VII Graduation
April 4th, 2018 - Civic Center in Auburndale, Florida

UthMpact Leadership Class VII graduated on April 4th, 2018 at the Auburndale Civic Center. We presented our Leadership days to parents, families and supportive partners in Powerpoint form showing what we did on our Leadership Days. We honored our Leadership class VII graduates and seniors. We presented a scholarship to Mariah Wiggs. The UthMpact Lasting Impact Award to Chloe Heminger. An award went to J'Ann Sorhaindo and Craig Massey for obtaining the most service hours out of their class! Lastly, Ana Brighton was announced as the new 2018-2019 UthMpact Class VIII President, we are so excited to see all that she will do! Congratulations to the graduates of Class VII, we can't wait to see what your future holds!

Class VII Leadership Days were so amazing and memorable.
The first Wednesday of each month our leadership class got together for UthMpact Leadership days. Each day has a theme. We met different sectors of the community and learned about how they make a difference in Polk County. The themes include: business, education, government and judiciary, law enforcement, health and wellness, volunteerism and the arts.
Class V Retreat
August 5-7 - Warren Willis Camp, Leesburg, Florida
We had a blast!
Class V of the UthMpact Leadership program spent three days and two nights at Warren Willis Camp in Leesburg, Florida at thier annual Class Retreat! They took what they learned from the personality training where they first met and applied it to team tasks and leadership developement. They learned how they could make an impact this year.
Class V DiSC Training
July 30th, 2015 - Jim Miles Professional Building, Lakeland Florida
What a great kick-off to the year!
UthMpact Leadership Class V came together for the first time on July 30th, 2015 at the Jim Miles Professional Building. We came together for the DiSC personality profile training with Joanna Johnson. We also got to meet with Jessica Fredricks and participate in her leadership through drumming expirence called Good Vibrations! Overall it was a good introduction to the year and a great way to meet new friends!

UthMpact Leadership Class IV graduated on April 8th, 2015 at TBA Church. We came together one last time to celebrate the past year. We honored our Leadership IV graduates, seniors, recapped the year in presentations and presented two scholarships to two amazing seniors. The 2015-2016 Executive Board was announced. It was a wonderful evening!

Over 250 dresses given a way this year!
Project Prom is UthMpact's Signature Project. This event includes the collection and distribution of hundreds of formal wear items. We raise awareness about staying safe through the Prom and Graduation season. Hundreds of youth sign pledges to stay drug free and safe and while getting to make happy memories at Prom/Graduation. Christmas Parade

Deck the Halls with Smart Decisions.
This year UthMpact created the "Deck the Halls with Smart Decisions" float for the 2014 Junior League of Greater Lakeland's Annual Christmas Parade. We designed and constructed the float. Special thanks to Glenn & Lecinda Steele for donating the truck/trailer and driving the float! Also thank you to the Ruthvens for supplying a location for us to store and construct our float.

Class IV Retreat
August 1st - 2nd, 2014, Camp Wingmann, Avon Park, Fl
We came together as strangers and left as friends.
Class IV met for the first time at Camp Wingmann in Avon Park, Fl for the class retreat! We had leadership training and we received our personality profiles. We worked in groups, presented project ideas, bonded, laughed and completed a ropes course. We had an amazing time; we look forward to our UthMpact journey!
